Editorial standards — how we verify facts
Last updated:
Our advice can affect real decisions, so we hold it to a clear standard. Here's how we work.
Every figure is sourced and dated
Regulatory rules, compensation amounts, speed expectations and provider details are tied to an official primary source — Ofcom, gov.uk, or the provider — and the date we checked it. If we can't confirm a current value, we don't guess: we flag it clearly until it's verified.
We prefer primary sources
Where possible we link the original official source rather than second-hand reporting, so you can check it yourself.
We keep content fresh
Rules and prices change. We show a visible "last updated" date on every page and review rights, compensation and pricing content at least annually, or sooner when the rules change.
Corrections
If you spot something out of date or wrong, we want to know. A contact and corrections route will be published here as the site grows.
Some figures across the site are currently marked "to verify" while we confirm them against official sources — that flag is deliberate, not an oversight.
